This initiative is a part of Pakistan’s EV Policy 2025, It aims to shift the Country’s transportation from non-renewable resources to eco-friendly alternatives,

🌱 With the increase of EV Vehicles, the government plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat urban air pollution.
⚡ E-Bikes always have been environmental friendly.
🚴‍♂️ E-bikes are being distributed among the Youth to empower them.

Key Features of the Electric Bike Scheme 2025

116,000 bikes 🏍️ are being offered under this scheme, with a support of PKR 65,000. Designated Banks are offering interest free loans so that the remaining cost can be payed easily. So, this adds up to PKR 150,000 per bike. This payment can be done with monthly installments of PKR 5,500 over a time of two years. These bikes will come with many more features such as GPS tracking, Integrated solar charging ports and Training sessions for maintenance and repair of the bike, all these steps will be taken to empower the youth.

Eligibility Criteria for the Electric Bike Scheme 2025

Student Status 🎓	Enrolled full-time in an HEC-recognized institution

Online Application Process

This process is totally online🌐, this process makes accessibility certain for all applicants nationwide. Applications can be submitted through the official site smu.punjab.gov.pk. If the number of applicants exceed the available quota a balloting process will be conducted in order to select beneficiaries.
